Dr. Brad Buck

It is almost the start of a new school year and I could not be more excited to be your new leader! I chose to come back to Waukee Community School District (CSD) after almost a decade away because I know this is an incredible place for our students, staff, and families.

On August 23 we anticipate welcoming approximately 11,500 students to our buildings on the first day of school. Each year we grow in the number of students we serve and it is the reason I challenge all of you to connect this year. Connect with your child/ren, other families, our amazing staff, teachers, and our community. Being connected as we grow will be what keeps us together, aligned, and thriving.

Please know that in the midst of all the planning for growth, we are intentional about keeping the students at the center of everything we do, which is providing an outstanding educational experience to everyone. Our goal is to continue to be a dynamic place to teach, learn, and grow.

We look forward to maintaining and strengthening the partnership with our families and community in the coming months. Your support of the staff and the district are a major part of what makes our district a lighthouse for the state of Iowa.
