The 34th annual Red Flannel Run is the Wellmark YMCA’s largest fundraiser! Taking place Saturday, February 11, 2023, all proceeds go towards making the YMCA facilities and programming accessible to ALL so everyone has the opportunity to be healthy. Runners, walkers, and joggers of all ages can be a part of the movement by participating in either the 5K or 10K portion.
Seen as the unofficial kick-off to the outdoor race season, the Red Flannel Run brings together runners and Y supporters to raise awareness of the Wellmark YMCA and is credited with being the longest, consecutively produced race in the Des Moines area. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their most original red flannel attire to show their support of the YMCA’s mission.
