Happy Holiday Season!

I hope this note finds you well! As we continue to navigate an ever-evolving pandemic environment, it is important to keep ourselves mentally active. This activity, or learning, can better our mental health as well. Keeping ourselves stimulated, engaged, and finding new skills can enrich our lives in many positive ways. Some of this learning may look different, such as an online class. Regardless of how you learn, I hope that you are able to find something that enriches your life!

In our Community Education department, we continue to offer a mix of in-person and online learning opportunities. Many of our in-person opportunities are flex- ible and able to move online if needed. Our classes can be a fun and rewarding mental exercise for adults and students. Whether your student is participating in online or in-person school day learning, our enrichment classes are open for all students.

We have a number of new learning opportunities for adults and students this winter/spring, including: Adult ESL; Babysitting Basics; Coding (100/200/Ani- mation/Java Script/Python); Crime Scene Investigation; Dinosaur Adventures; Engineering Explorers; Junior Botanists; Love the Fudge; Planes, Boats, & Automo- biles; Roller Coaster Physics; SAT Prep; STEM Superheroes; and Yummy Gummies & Rock Candy.

As always, please feel free to contact me. I welcome your feedback on how we can continue to grow Waukee Community Education and better serve our students, families, and community members.
