ACEing Autism is looking for help with a program new to our area. Volunteers will be assisting individuals with disabilities learn the basic fundamentals of tennis while having fun and being in a safe environment. Tennis experience not required! To sign up, complete the registration form on the volunteer tab on the website: https://aceingautism.org/locations/des-moines-ia/. Volunteers over 18 will require a background check.
ACEing Autism celebrated 10 years in 2018 and now serves over 1,400 children with autism through programs in 29 states. Arnold Wehrenberg, manager of tennis at LifeTime Tennis Des Moines, and his wife Amber, who has a Master’s in Education and works an Registered Behavior Technician in West Des Moines, are excited to bring the program to the area.
