Central Iowa Shelter & Services is hosting our first annual Coldest Night of the Year 5k walk on Saturday February 25th. This walk is to raise awareness to the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness in the winter.
We are looking for volunteers to help with tasks like set-up, clean-up, monitoring the rest stops, and serving a light meal to participants. Minimum age of volunteers is 13 years of age and we ask that volunteers under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. This event is held outdoors and expect volunteers to be dressed appropriately for the weather.
