The City of Johnston will be holding its annual event, Kites on the Green, on Saturday, May 1 at Johnston Commons (library area). Many volunteers are needed to make this event successful! Volunteers will pass out kite-building kits, provide direction/information, assist with set-up and tear down, and help with other duties as identified and needed during the event. Three kite-flying sessions will be held on Saturdays in April leading up to Kites on the Green. These events will be held around the Johnston community. Volunteers are needed to pass out kite-flying kits to kids and families and assist as needed.
