  • Now – October 14: “American Farmer” exhibit host
    • American Farmer features portraits and interviews with farmers across the US. This is a great volunteer experience for those who are sensitive to heat (exhibit is located in a climate controlled building with available seating).

  • October 15-16, 21-23 and 28-29: Family Halloween
    • Help us celebrate a safe, non-scary trick-or-treating at our historic businesses in the 1876 town of Walnut Hill. Volunteer to hand out treats and assist with games at our saf, non-scary trick or treating event.

  • November 12: LHF Race
  • Living History Farms is bringing back our annual off-road race, giving runners the opportunity to immerse themselves in rural Iowa landscapes and travel through history on foot.

All volunteer positions are available to those 16 years and older. Volunteers between the ages of 10-15 years are welcome when accompanied by an adult volunteer.
