- You'll be helping facilitate the event in 1-3 hour shifts. Volunteer opportunities range from helping attendees setup their cardboard shelter, serve dinner, hand out event shirts to attendees, and lead educational programming activities. All the opportunities are listed on the SignUp Genius link.

Join us in the fight to end youth homelessness in Iowa. Registered participants will get to sleepout on the field at Drake Stadium for one night (September 30) and learn more about this critical cause. Gather your friends and family to support youth aged 16-24 and raise awareness of youth homelessness. As a volunteer, you do not have to pay a registration fee or fundraise.
Volunteer duties during the event, you’ll help attendees engage in entertainment and educational programming all evening. Using cardboard, duct tape, and their imagination, participants can compete in the Nationwide Boxed-In Contest and design their own enclosure for the night. Awards will be given for creativity and overall design.
