SCI Spooky Engineering Challenge

The Science Center of Iowa is excited to prepare for the annual Spooky Science Event! We are looking for a group of students to combine a passion for engineering with the spooky season to create a giant spider web spanning the Upper Founders Hall oval opening. Students will have an opportunity to meet each other over FREE pizza and soda, and brainstorm a plan on Sunday, October 9 from 4pm-6pm before the big webbing on Sunday, October 23 from 4pm-6pm.

This is a great opportunity to meet other students that share a passion for engineering or just love science! Challenge yourself and make a difference with us as we continue our mission of engaging and inspiring Iowans along their journey of lifelong science learning!

Who: Students ages 14-18 years old

What: Create a giant spider web and engineer a way to span it across Upper Founders Hall.
