Upcoming Volunteer Activities for Spring Break – March 12th to 16th
Winter Break is a family-friendly event offering interactive activities and entertainment. A variety of activities are available to guests during this week. Volunteers can assist with one shift or multiple shifts any day or days.

Camp Assistant, March 12th to 15th
(single full day (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or half day shifts (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 pm. Or 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. available)
Provide support to staff and assist with activities, provide guidance to campers as needed and help with clean-up. Theme for camp is ARTrageous! Some outside activity may be included so volunteers should dress for the weather. Background check is required for this position.

Drop-in Activities, March 12th to 16th
Shifts 10:45AM – 1PM and 1PM to 3:15PM
Welcome guests, process payment and assist with providing materials and keeping work spaces tidy as guests make an air plant home to take home. Available shifts for this activity are Wednesday 12/27 1PM – 3:30PM, Friday 12/29 10:30AM -1PM or 1PM -3:30PM and Saturday 12/30 1PM-3:30. This position requires Altru knowledge (payment processing system) or willingness to learn it.

Activities Tables, March 12th to 16th
Shifts 10AM – 1:30PM and 1:30 PM – 5PM
Role is fun for those who are outgoing and enjoy helping people learn. Volunteers serve as activity table leaders, engaging guests to learn about the Desert, Desert Products, Cacti vs. Succulents and Spine, Prickle or Thorn. Activities are easy to learn, and volunteers are provided information and talking points in advance. Day of, staff will touch base at the start of the shift to review the activity and answer questions.
