Volunteers in our Maplenol Cafe will greet and interact with Valley Community Center guests while serving café drinks and snacks. The Cafe is open Monday–Friday from 8:30-4. Shifts will vary depending on the volunteer’s schedule but are usually two to four hours. We occasionally have special evening hours during the summer when we are open until 7:30pm.
The Valley Community Center is a hub for partnerships doing good for the community…with the community. We seek to create good will through good works and partnership, to reach diverse groups, and ultimately to impact as many as possible in the Des Moines area.
