Volunteer Opportunities

I teach a class called Learning Environments for Waukee teachers getting their Masters degree.  Throughout the course, teachers are learning how to create a classroom environment that supports students’ physical, academic, and emotional health.

I am looking for volunteers to participate on a student panel on Friday, February 21. This would be a chance for you to share about your unique experience in school- both positive and negative. I’ve hosted a panel in the past, and teachers continue to say how impactful the experience is.

Here are some sample questions that have been asked in the past:

• What do you appreciate about school?
• What would you change about school?
• What is one thing you would recommend to all teachers to help all students feel represented?
