Each summer, members of the Waukee Police Department host Safety City for students entering kindergarten at the Waukee Community School District. Volunteers act as leaders and mentors, as young students learn about safe street-crossing, safety belt usage, calling 911, and bus rules during a week-long course. 

This year’s sessions are:

  • June 13-17
    • 8:30-11:30 a.m. OR 12:30-3:30 p.m.
  • June 20-24
    • 8:30-11:30 a.m. OR 12:30-3:30 p.m.
  • June 27-July 1
    • 8:30-11:30 a.m. OR 12:30-3:30 p.m.
