WesleyLife Meals on Wheels seeks volunteers to help deliver meals to participants’ homes throughout Polk County (approximately 10-20 stops) on weekdays. Volunteers check in at 10:30am at our office (944 18th Street, Des Moines), and typically return before 1:30pm. For a shorter time commitment you may choose to deliver to residents of specific apartment buildings from 11:00am – 12:00pm. Click here to see a detailed list of our current route options. Those under 18 should have a trusted adult with them. This is a great opportunity for a teen to serve with a parent or older sibling. Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application, pass a background check and be able to sign a confidentiality agreement.
